In November of 1953 they moved to Ventura from Santa Ana due the Bill's job and, a couple of months later, their second son, Doug, was born. In 1960 their daughter, Karen, was born. In 1965 Kay returned to work part time in the Escrow Department at Security Pacific Bank, Ventura. She retired in 1982 as Escrow Manager of the Oxnard branch.
Kay enjoyed traveling, especially to Yosemite and Bass Lake where she went as a child and continued to go into her 90's. She also enjoyed knitting, golf, bridge, being with her family, watching sports and was a Dodger and Laker fan. Kay rarely missed a game that one of her children or grandchildren were playing in or that her son coached.
