Dennis Oliver

Dennis L. Oliver, 47, of Ventura, died suddenly Friday, March 18, 2011, the result of a tragic automobile accident. He was born February 19, 1964 in Ventura, and had been a lifelong resident.

Dennis had been a heavy equipment operator at The Industrial Company (TIC). He was the owner and founder of Rocksmith Engineering, and loved motorcycles, rock climbing, kayaking, hiking, computers and cooking. For six years, he had been a member of the Roadrunner RC Club.

He will be forever missed, and is survived by his parents, Linda Oliver, of Ojai, and Hank Oliver, of Ventura; daughter, Tiffany Beecher, of Nantucket, Mass.; the love of his life, Beth Ludens, of Ventura; grandmother, Estelle Oliver, of Ventura; and others too numerous to mention.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Rd., Ventura. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Ojai Valley Moose Lodge, 382 Ventura Ave., Oak View.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home and Crematory, Ventura.
