

He grew up in Ventura, California and attended Buena High School.
He lived in various metropolitan cities including San Francisco, West Hollywood, Washington D.C. and Denver, Colorado.
When living in West Hollywood, he had various modeling jobs and appeared in different motion pictures as an extra.
His "claim to fame" was his cameo appearance in the movie "Less than Zero".
In his life he traveled to London, Paris, and Costa Rica.
Music was Soaky's passion, especially Old School and Disco. His favorite recording artists were Barbra Streisand, Cher, Whitney Houston and of course, Madonna.
He always had music playing and collected LP's. In his younger years, he was quite the dancer and enjoyed night clubbing.
Soaky was loved by so many friends in Ventura as well as in Denver, Colorado where he lived for 12 years.
In Denver he worked as a barista in a local coffee shop called DazBog.
He was always the life of the party with his silliness, joking, and imitations.
He had a beautiful smile and made everyone laugh to tears with his witty sense of humor.
Soaky was an artist in his own right. He painted, created sculptures, and had an eccentric decorating style.
In the last year of his life, he moved back to Ventura with his family.
He is survived by his mother and father, Bob and Corrina Nelson; sister, Lori Nelson; brothers, Darin Nelson, Armando Nelson, Rock Nelson; sister-in-law Paula Nelson, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Charles Carroll Funeral Home, 15 Teloma Drive, Ventura on Saturday, August 9th at 10am.
