

Dollie Floy Cummings, 93, of Ventura, died Thursday, November 24, 2011, following a prolonged illness. Mrs. Cummings was born November 10, 1918, in Duncan, Oklahoma, and had been a resident of Ventura for the past 12 years.
Dollie was a member of the Church of Christ in Ventura. She was a Bible teacher and had taught Bible correspondence courses by mail through the World Bible School Program in the U.S. as well as other countries to hundreds of students for over fifty years. In her later life she also studied with many students that were long term prison inmates bringing them hope of salvation through Jesus Christ.
Dollie was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Charles Lawrence Cummings, on November 23, 2005.
She is survived by her son, Lyndle C. Cummings of Tempe, Arizona; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Sarah Cummings of Richmond, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Florence and Dr. J.N. Warwar of Ventura; grandsons and their wives, Dr’s. Robert J. and Wendy Jo Warwar of Ventura; Gregory C. and Shannon Warwar of Moorpark; grandson, Glenn E. Cummings a career solder in the U.S. Army presently stationed at Fort Hood, Texas; great -granddaughter, Shelby Marie Warwar who is attending Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas; great-grandsons, Andre Gregory Warwar, Johnny Gregory Warwar and Jack Gregory Warwar of Moorpark and Ethan Robert Warwar and Mason Robert Warwar of Ventura; sisters-in-law, O’Leta Cummings and Ruby Treece of Duncan, Oklahoma.
Services will be held Saturday, December 3, 10:00 A.M., at the Church of Christ, 5401 Bryn Mawr, Ventura, with Mr. Dave Schulze officiating. A reception at the church will follow. Burial will take place at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.
