Dolores Elizabeth Schlobohm

Dolores Elizabeth Schlobohm, 86, of Ventura, passed away peacefully with her son by her side on Monday, March 10, 2014. Dolores was born March 6, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York to Arvid Johnson and Hilja (Levander) Johnson. In 1960, she left New York and moved to Ventura to start her family.

Dolores was a wonderfully kind and caring person that devoted her life to God and her family. She was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ventura.

Dolores loved gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Schlobohm in 1975.

Dolores is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Mara Schlobohm; grandsons, Alexander and Nikolas Schlobohm all of Jackson, Georgia; nieces, Lark Stevens of Ventura and Debbie Temple of Santa Ynez; nephews, Eric Johnson of Santa Paula, Steve Johnson of Ventura, Carl Johnson of Las Vegas, NV and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place at Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura, on Saturday, March 15, 2014, 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and then again Sunday, March 16, 2014, 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, 11:00 A.M. at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Valentine Road, Ventura, with the Reverend Dave Hall officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Livingston Hospice or the Ojai Humane Society.
