Dorothy Mae Myers

Former Ojai resident, Dorothy Mae Myers, 93, of Newhall, died Tuesday, September 20, 2011 following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Myers was born June 16, 1918, in Vanos, Oklahoma. She had lived in Ojai for 60 years prior to moving to Newhall.

Mrs. Myers was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking knitting and many other crafts.

She was a longtime member of the Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and Eleanor Myers; Stanley and Norma Myers; grandchildren, Rick (Anna) Myers, Christy Quinn, David Myers and Jason Myers; great grandchildren, Stephanie (Colin) Clark, Derek Myers, Evan and Andrew Quinn, Josh, Justin and Andrew Myers. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Albert A. Myers in 1997.

Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura. Burial will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura, with The Reverend Greg Garman from Newhall, Church of the Nazarene officiating.
