

He was a member of the 19th Bombardment Group, 93rd Bombardment Squadron. Eddy was held captive at Camp O’Donnell, Cabanatuan and Hoten Mukden Manchuria Prisoner of war camps for three and half years. He was liberated by the Russian Army in August 1945.
Eddy was born on June 4, 1917 in Los Angeles, California. He enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps in November 1940, being stationed at March Field and Albuquerque Army Air Bases prior to being shipped overseas to Clark Field Army Air Base in the Philippine Islands, where he was when the Japanese struck on December 8, 1941.
Eddy was awarded the following: The Bronze Star Medal, Prisoner of War Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, Philippine Defense Medal with one Bronze Star, American Defense Service Medal with one Bronze Star, Distinguished Unit Badge with two Oak Leafe Clusters, World War II Victory Medal, and Good Conduct Medal with Clasp.
