

Forrest A. Wright passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018, in Ventura. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Forrest was born June 20, 1928, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Paul S. Wright and Pandora Mae (Davis) Wright.
Forrest, his wife and son moved to Ventura County permanently in 1952. He graduated from Ventura College in 1959 and worked in the oil fields for 8 years. Forrest worked for the County of Ventura Public Works Agency as a Senior Engineering - Construction Inspector for 33 years. Forrest worked at numerous jobs over his lifetime such as: Armors Meat Packing at age 16 years old; a truck driver; joined the Navy (Seabees) on his 17th birthday, with three of his high school buddies; a cabinet maker; and a Cost Accountant for Wilson Sporting Goods and many others before moving to California.
He enjoyed many hobbies: writing his memoirs, collecting all forms of recorded music, model cars, traveling, woodworking, and teaching himself the French language.
Forrest was preceded in death by his wives, Esther Irene (Monahan) Wright and Leah Rae Wright; his brother, Harold B. Wright.
He is survived by sister, Paula Archer; brother, Thomas Kennedy; and his wife, Mary; son, Barry A. Wright; daughters, Debra S. Watson, Cynthia L. Wright, Linda Allison, Sherry Bell and Susan Rodgers; granddaughter, Tawny Watson; grandson, Charles Valenzuela; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura. Funeral Services will also take place at Ted Mayr Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Valentine Road, in Ventura.
