Ivy M. Shields

Ivy “Jeri” Shields, a resident of Ventura, passed away at the Glenwood Care Center of Oxnard; on Wednesday, May 12, 2011 at the age of 103. She was born in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on January 25, 1908. Jeri was a retired beautician and for forty years was the owner/operator of beauty shops in Ventura. She was beautiful in and out, but of all the things she loved...her family was the most loved.

Jeri was loved by all who new her; especially those she leaves behind now; grandsons: John D. (wife Mary Frances) Whitney of Ventura, CA and D.L. (wife Linda) Whitney of Florida. Great-grandchildren: Charity P. Whitney of Oxnard, CA, Matthew and Amber Witney of Ventura, CA, Joel and Stephanie Whitney of Jefferson, MO, Denny Lynn Whitney, Christopher L. Whitney and Beau Robin Whitney, all of New York. Great-great-grandchildren: Emma Paige Whitney and Harley David Whitney both of Ventura, CA.

Visitation will be on Monday May 16 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park.
