James V Schwab

James V. Schwab, 85, of Ventura, died Wednesday, September 19, 2012, in Ventura following a brief illness. Mr. Schwab was born April 19, 1927, in Clinton, Oklahoma and had been a resident of Ventura for over 50 years.

Mr. Schwab was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Ventura. He had been a driver for S.P. Milling, retiring in 1990.

He is survived by his daughter-in-law Susan West and grandson Scott West of Ventura; son, Clarence Schwab of Georgia; daughter, Joann Schwab of Missouri as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna “Bobbie” Schwab and his son, Lloyd West.

The family would like to thank the staff at Treacy Villa for the loving care they provided their father.

Graveside services will be held Monday, September 24, 1:30 P.M. at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura, with Pastor James Ayars of the Seventh Day Adventist Church officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Rd., Ventura.
