Jon Barrett Hedberg

Jon was born November 26, 1935, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was a longtime resident of Westlake Village before moving to Ventura several years ago.

While working for Disney Studios as a young man, he met and married his wife, Barbara Strout.

Jon was a land developer of both residential and commercial properties. During his career he had been president of both Pacifica Corporation and JBH Development in Westlake Village. He also served as president of the BIA Builder’s Association. He was a member of North Ranch Country Club where he enjoyed golfing. He was an avid UCLA Football fan and also loved the marching band.

He is survived by his son, Chris Hedberg of Napa; daughters, Kirsten Young and Amy Hedberg both of Ventura; granddaughters, Kaitlin Young, Delaney Young and Ryen Miles all of Ventura and Livia Hedberg of Napa.

He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara in 1999.

Private family services are being held at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Cemetery, Westlake Village, where Jon will be buried alongside his wife, Barbara.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura.
