What a beautiful eulogy you read to me over the phone today.  It was given to you from God and I'm sure it touched many people there as it did me.

Buchanan family,
I had the joy of knowing Joyce and it was truley a blessing and honor. She lit up the room wherever she was. The thing I remembermost was her laugh. You were such a caring person who loved everyone. I will miss you but know we will see each other in heaven. You were one who held your family together through all
you r n a better place walking and dancing with the angels

It was the utmost privilege  to have such a nice and caring lady in my life thru extended family. My sincere condolences go out the the Buchanan family in this time of sadness and sorrow but just know Joyce is in a better place and all the Memories we all had with her will make these times easier to cope with. I always have been greatful for the Christmas dinners and times spent with her and Lori and Sandi and family. my most memorable memory was the fun trip to Canada with the family while visiting from Seattle. I can go on and on but I'm sure everybody knows how amaIng a woman she was! always in my heart ?? God bless!

So sad to hear about Joyce. She was like a second mom to me. Just remember the Jack in the Box Drive In "incident" where she did drive into it. She always ahd a smile on her face, even when she was ready to kill us. Ha. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Mom, Miss you terribly but I thank God for His perfect plan and design to have you as my mother. I couldn't have asked for a more selfless, loving, compassionate individual. Always deferring to others first and never mindful of yourself. You truly fulfilled the definition of a servant to others. I thank God for the time we spent together and look forward to when we will be together again where there is no time. I am confident that you have reacquainted with passed love ones and made many new friends already. I am sure that when you arrived in heaven the first thing you asked God was “what can I do to help?”.  When I think of you I smile!! I love you.

Sandi -
I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. It brought to mind one of my clear childhood memories of a Halloween party at your house, complete with spaghetti and red sauce (veins) and peeled grapes (eyeballs) for all to feel in the dark. Thanks to your mom for not only providing your family with fun childhood memories, but for also blessing so many more of us with great memories!  She was a special lady!

Always smiling, friendly, cheery and completely selfless, Joyce never met a stranger and always made everyone feel important.  I am glad my own mom knew how to pick her dearest friend.... Joyce.   Lori and Mac deserve the highest honors for the years of care for this most wonderful person. 
I'm glad to know that true friends,Joyce and Dolores are together again.

Dear Sandi and family:  
Your Mom truly made the world a brighter place and we were lucky to have known her. Her memory will live on, in your hearts and ours. Joyce picked our wedding date, you know. We were stymied by schedules and she just thought some, laughed some, and said, "Dec. 29 is perfect!" 41 years ago and it seems like just a few months.
