Lois Patricia Anderson

Lois was born May 15, 1931, in Ventura, to Ralph and Ramona Taplett, residents of Ventura from 1925 until their deaths. Lois was born and raised in Ventura and graduated from Ventura High School in 1949. She met and married the love of her life, George Anderson, on September 12, 1953 and their love lasted until her death.

Her family was her life and she and George raised three daughters, Cathleen Roberts, Julie Gift, and Wendy Cappelano. They have seven grandchildren of whom she was so very proud; Summer Leith, Jeremy Gift, Julie Marquez-Gift, Michelle Roberts, Shauna Klicko, Christopher Cappelano, and Andrew Cappelano. The joys of her life were her five great grandchildren, Bailey Leith, Brooke Governatori, Aidan Apodaca, Ava Apodaca, and William George Klicko.

Lois had been a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Port Hueneme, and after moving to Camarillo, a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Camarillo, she loved her church family.

George and Lois retired when he turned 65 and they went to Oregon and bought a vacation home on the Cascade Mountains at Crescent Lake where they spent as much time as they could. They spent many happy days there enjoying the beautiful woods and forests and having family and friends visit them. It was so relaxing to be there and it gave them time to spend with George’s family who resides in Oregon. Lois considered George’s sister and brothers her own and dearly loved them all.

She is survived by her dear husband, George, her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law, and all of her aunts, uncles and cousins.

To her many caregivers and doctors, she loved them all dearly and the family thanks them for taking such loving care of her throughout the years.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017, 11:00 am, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 2304 Antonio Ave., in Camarillo.

In lieu of flowers, Lois requested donations sent to the church or American Cancer Society to find a cure for Multiple Myeloma.
