Lorena J Price

Lorena Jo Price, born October 31, 1944, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 4, 2014, surrounded by her loving husband and children. She was a resident of Ventura for 46 years, moving here from West Covina, California.

She worked as a telephone operator and cable splicer for GTE, finally retiring from the City of Oxnard. Lorena loved to dress up and go to dinner and the movies. She was also an avid reader.

Lorena met her loving and devoted husband of 48 years, Roy Gerald Price in Honolulu, Hawaii and renewed their vows after 40 years at St. Augustine by the Sea Catholic Church on Waikiki beach with their children and grandchildren in attendance. Lorena is survived by her husband, Roy Price; daughter, Kendra Hammond (Scott); and son, Gerald Price (Sandra). She loved the cool ocean breezes and her grandchildren: Kayla Knapp, Austin Hammond, Jacob Hammond, Sara Hammond, and Ruby Price as well as many loving nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 8, 2014, from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Santa Clara Catholic Church, 323 South E Street, Oxnard, CA 93030 with Reverend Marco Ortiz officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery, 2370 North H St, Oxnard, CA 93036.
