Robert S Wilton

He was a radio and television announcer and program director for KVEC San Luis Obispo in the1950’s. He went to work for Union Oil as a palo-lab tech for 30 years. Robert also served in the Navy form 1943-1946 on the USS Marquett as a radio operator. He was a Eucharist Minister at Sacred Heart, member of the church choir, was a scout master, and member of the Knights of Columbus.

Robert loved sailing, camping and fishing; but most of all his family.

Robert was preceded in death by, his wife, Frances Wilton and granddaughter, Dawn Monahan. He now leaves behind his daughter, Dana Monahan, Vta.; sons, Mark Wilton, San Luis Obispo, Matt Wilton, Paul Wilton and Pat Wilton all from Ventura; 5 grandchildren, Ryan Monahan, Geoff Wilton, Derek Monahan, Jonathan Wilton and Christine Wilton.

A time of visitation will be held on, Sun., March 13 from 6-8 pm with a rosary at 7 pm in the chapel at Charles Carroll Funeral Home, 15 Teloma Drive, Ventura, CA 93003. A funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ventura, Monday, March 14 at 10am. with burial following at Ivy lawn Memorial Park in Ventura.
