Ross Allen Blaskey

Ross Allen Blaskey went home to our Heavenly Father in the early morning hours of September 5, 2014, after fighting a long, hard battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Ross was born September 10, 1966, in Santa Paula, California where he lived the majority of his life.

Ross will be remembered for his love of family and friends, good times, tinkering in the garage, NASCAR, camping, dirt bikes and guns. He was always eager to lend a hand to those who needed help. He will be remembered in all his family and friends’ hearts.

Ross is survived by his wife, Christion Blaskey;daughters, Ashly and Kamryn; son, Jesse; grandsons, Izaiah and Dominik; brothers, James and Earl Ray; sister, LaDawn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Brian McCarty and all the drivers at McCarty & Sons, who helped get Ross to all of his doctors’ appointments and offered their support during this difficult time.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014, from 12 noon to 5:00 pm, at Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura. A Celebration of Life will take place at Arroyo Verde Park, on the Vista Bluff, in Ventura, on Saturday, September 20, 2014, from 12 noon until 5:00 pm. There will be a short service at 12:30 pm, with lunch to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contribution in honor of Ross, be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network www.pancan.org.
