

Salvador “Sam” Ramirez Sinsun, 75, of Ventura, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2013, following a sudden illness. He was born on February 9, 1938, in Waukegan, Illinois, to Isaac M. and Octoviana Sinsun. He had been a resident of Ventura for the past fifty-three years relocating from Waukegan, Illinois.
Sam worked over forty years as a custodian for several hospitals. He retired from the Point Hueneme Navy Base, after fifteen years in the shipping and receiving department.
He enjoyed walking his dog, being with family, telling stories, playing with power tools, and watching cowboy channels.
Sam was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Julia Virginia Sinsun in August of 2011.
He is survived by his brothers, Frank, Ambrose, Tony, and Isaac Sinsun; sisters, Julia Chagoya, Minnie Chagoya, and Ester Mendoza; his children, Julia Marron and her partner, Mike Robison, Salvador Sinsun, Jr. and his wife, Laura, Joseph Sinsun and his wife, Diane; grandchildren, Linda, Maria, Roman, Steven Marron, Sean and Ryan Robison, Allyssa, Joelle, Sammy Sinsun, Mandy Torres, Ashley Sinsun, and Michael; and nine great grandchildren.
Services for Sam took place on Monday, October 21, 2013.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura.
