Thomas Richard Boyd

On Sunday, July 10, 2011, Thomas Richard Boyd passed away at just 64 years of age. He suffered a brief illness and joined his father Joseph Boyd and brothers Daniel and Robert Boyd. His family whom loved him very much surrounded him.

Thomas was born in Coudersport, Pennsylvania. He met his wonderful wife Carlene Boyd in Washington while he was in the Navy. They married on June 19, 1970 and moved to Ventura, California in 1971, where Carlene was originally from. They celebrated 41 wonderful years together. He worked for the US Postal Service where he retired. He spent most of his time either woodworking or spending time with his grandsons.

He is survived by his wife, Carlene Boyd, and two children: Cari Clocherty (Ian Clocherty) and Danielle Brinkman (Rigo Vera) and grandsons, Tyler Clocherty, Brendon Clocherty, Zane Clocherty, and Cash Vera all of Ventura.

The family would like to extend a warm and sincere thank you to the staff and doctors at VCMC, where he spent his last days with his family.
