Yonejiro Ito

Mr. Yonejiro Ito, 89 years old, Nisei, born in Venice, California, resident of Ventura, California. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at home surrounded by his family.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016, 10:00 AM, at the Oxnard Buddhist Temple, 250 S. “H” St. Oxnard, CA. The family appreciates your condolences but kindly ask that flowers be omitted.

Yo or Yonejiro faced the challenges of chronic hiccups, Dementia and Parkinson’s disease and most recently acquired Hemophilia but never lost his sense of humor, his love to travel, his daily walks whenever possible and his concern for others. He was an avid videographer, sports fan, devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend and farmer.

Beloved husband of Tsuyako Ito, father to George, Margaret, Irene, Thomas, Henry and Helen. Grandfather to Wesley, Lindsey, Melissa, Shelby, Danica, Dylan, Jordan, Steven, Scott, Paige, Tyler, Michael and Matthew. Also survived by his brother Tomio Ito, sister Tomiko Ando and many other relatives.

From 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, a viewing will take place at Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, in Ventura, on Friday, April 22, 2016.
