Philip Wayne Blanchard

Philip Wayne Blanchard, age 75 years old, passed away suddenly on December 21, 2022 in Montreal, Quebec. Born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island on July 23, 1947, he was the second born son of Bernadette and Joseph Ed Blanchard. He was the loved father of Eddy Blanchard, step-father of Jeff Knight, Coreen Knight and Karen Harnish. He was predeceased by his siblings Paul, Barry, Claudia, Sharon and Brian.

He was grandfather to Karl, Cody and Michelle, he was Paka to Jessica, Tabatha, Tristan and Liam. He was also a great-grandfather to Kaydence and Beckett. He is survived by his sister Carol and his partner Claudette. Wayne will be mourned by his daughter-in-law Leanne; Line, Conrad, JR., Stewart, Glen, Trevor, Shelly, Trixie, Ray and Jimmy.

He will be greatly missed by the many other people who’s lives he has touched through his career as an auto mechanic, as a bowler and as an avid golfer. He never hesitated to mentor and help those around him in need. He also knew every back road, side road and front road no matter where he seemed to be going. He made friends everywhere he went and was known for his “gift of gab”. He was on the go and doing things right to the end.

Wayne leaves a big hole in many of our hearts and he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him - but we also know, he did it his way until the very last day. Please note that as per his wishes, there will be no service or viewing.

A private get together will be held shortly for close family and friends.
