Sonja Lasalle Hugonnier de Ginet

Sonja Lasalle épouse de feu Roger Hugonnier de Ginet a survécu à son fils Sylvain.

Née le 10 avril 1919 en Angleterre de père scandinave et de mère irlandaise elle émigre à Montréal en 1947.

Elle laisse dans le deuil, ses filles, petits et arrière-petits-enfants, proches, amis et famille à l'étranger.

Elle s’est engagée dans les forces françaises libres à Londres lors de la seconde guerre mondiale. Artiste peintre et portraitiste elle était doyenne des pastellistes du Québec.

La famille recevra les condoléances vendredi le 8 mars à partir de 17 h

L’hommage commémoratif avec vidéo et témoignages suivra de 19 h à 20h et une messe de 20h à 21h.

Ces évènements auront lieu à la Résidence funéraire Laurent Thériault

Mrs. Monique and Christine de Ginet are saddened to announce the death of their mother Sonja Lasalle Hugonnier de Ginet in Montreal on February 25, 2019.

Sonja Lasalle wife of the late Roger Hugonnier de Ginet survived her son Sylvain.

Born on April 10, 1919 in England of a Scandinavian father and Irish mother, she emigrated to Montreal in 1947.

She leaves to mourn her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, relatives, friends and family abroad.

She answered General Charles de Gaulle’s call and joined the free French forces in London during the Second World War. She worked in his secret service headquarters.

Gifted artist and portraitist, she was the dean of pastel society of eastern Canada and won several prizes.

The family will receive condolences Friday, March 8 from 5 pm

The commemorative tribute with video and testimonies will follow from 7 pm to 8 pm and a mass from 8 pm to 9 pm

These events will take place at the Laurent Thériault Funeral home
