

It's with great sadness to announce the passing of Ernest Georges Roland Louis Prevost on October 28, 2024 at the age of 78 years. Ernie was born in St. Front, Saskatchewan on the family farm. He grew up in the Rose Valley, Saskatchewan area and spent many years diamond drilling and working in construction, which eventually led him to his dream job of crane operating in Regina, Sask and retired after 43 years. He married the love of his life, Deborah Cross in 1974 and they had 4 beautiful children, and celebrated their 50th anniversary March 2024. Ernie and Deb spent 33 years in Pilot Butte, Sask where they built their home before retiring to Vernon, BC in 2014. Ernie was predeceased by his mother Marie and father Aime Prevost, brothers George, Aime, Louie, Julian and sisters Yvonne and Roland, Therese Kohlen, and by his son Lonnie Prevost, brother in law Dale Cross, and father in law Gerry Cross, and mother in law Olga Cross. He leaves to mourn his wife Deborah Prevost, children Jalynn Prevost, Kelly (Kari) Prevost and Delaney (Alex) Prevost, and grandchildren, Shayla Tiefenbach, Braendel and Breanne Bond, Aiden and Dax Prevost, Alexis Blouin and great granddaughter Quinn and Faye Brighthouse. He is survived by his sisters Simone, and Irene, brother John (Lynn) Prevost and his sister in laws Lillian Cross, June and Betty Prevost, and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins. Ernie and Deb enjoyed travelling, and travelled to over 40 countries throughout the years. Ernie was loved by many lifelong friends and will always be remembered for his multiple expressions. Memorial will be held in July of 2025 in Vernon, BC.
