Dear Anne,
It is with sadness that I read about Hamish. He was such a gentleman and one of the first people we met when we moved to Vernon in 1982 and joined the Kinsmen Club and the Golf Course.  He personified why we stayed for all these years.  He always had a smile and a kind word every time we saw him.  You both were welcoming Ambassadors to our Community.

When I think of Uncle Hamish I remember warmth and laughter. He lit up any room he was in just by being there. I remember at grandpa Robertson’s wake Hamish and Ian quietly aiding me in sneaking wine, being proper uncles! He and Ann were always warm and gracious hosts. He will be missed, but we were so enriched by having him in our family. 

To Dear Anne, Bruce, Jane, Gerry and family,

We are so sorry to hear of Hamish’s passing and are very sad to lose a dear old friend.   

In the early years we shared many good times and have lasting happy memories of being with Anne and Hamish and our friends and families.

We know how generous Hamish (and Anne) were.  In his working years Peter traveled to the Kamloops area.  Whenever he checked in to his hotel on arrival, he would find that the reservation had been canceled and he was instructed to call Hamish!

In later years, though we were unable to get together as often, we enjoyed the occasional visit or game of golf and it was as though time stood still.

Hamish was my brother-in-law. He was with Anne for over 60 years and a huge part of our family. I lived with them for a year when I was about 15 years old. I drove them crazy! Hamish used to play catch with me, and, in some ways, was almost another father figure for me. I have wonderful memories playing golf with Hamish and Anne.   My wife, Joan, and I will miss him so much. He was a wonderful father, friend and generally an all around great guy. Rest in peace Hamish.

Anne & Family,   We are shocked & saddened to hear of Hamish passing . He was always a pleasure to be around. It 's with a heavy heart that I've received word of Hamish's passing.
John and I had many happy times together with A&H over many years of friendship. May you rest in peace dear one.

We were shocked and sad to hear of the passing of Hamish. Sandy and I had the privilege of knowing Hamish as a group of us went quite often for fish and chips. There was Hamish and Anne, George and Nancy Richardson, also Mary Davies and of course Sandy and I.

We had great times together and Hamish will be missed.
