

Janusz Antoni Waltar, 68, of Vernon, British Columbia, succumbed to cancer after a hard fought battle, surrounded by his family on April 22, 2016. Born in Poland on September 22nd, 1947, Janusz lived and worked in Grande Cache, Alberta for 24 years before retiring to Vernon in 2013. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. Janusz was a brilliant engineer who loved his family above everything. He enjoyed skiing, traveling, camping and the outdoors. He loved to make people laugh.
Predeceased by his parents, Pawel and Anna Waltar, Janusz is survived by Lidia, his loving wife of 43 years; daughter Magdalena and her husband Darryl; son Remi; sister Ewa and her husband Zdzislaw; loving grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Memorial Mass for Janusz will be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church on Friday, April 29th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. A small reception to follow.
