She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Sam; children Bev (Lawrence) Ridley, Melvin (Doris) Rookes, Everett (Patricia) Rookes, David (Gail) Rookes, and Karen (Darryl) Sochan, sixteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Joey is also survived by two sisters, two brothers and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A gathering to celebrate Joey’s life will be announced at a future date. Friends wishing to do so may make donations in her memory to the charity of their choice. Arrangements are in the care of Vernon Funeral Home 250-542-0155.
