Melissa Holly Otsig

We regret to announce the sudden passing in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital on Saturday, November 2nd, 2013 of Melissa Holly Otsig at the age of 40 years. Melissa grew up in Revelstoke. In 2000 she moved to Vernon and studied to become a Care Aid and worked at Heron Grove for the past few years. She was so full of life and brought so much joy to everyone she encountered. Melissa had a real passion caring for people and loved what she did. She loved flowers, unicorns, angels, butterflies and anything shiny and sparkly. Melissa had incredible hand writing skills and a passion for writing poetry.

She is survived by her loving children, Destiny and Jaden both of Vernon, her loving companion Adam of Vernon, two brothers, Mike (Cassandra) of Revelstoke, and Brad of Vernon, nieces, Tiffany, Rebecca, Morgan and Emma and numerous Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and many friends. Melissa was predeceased by her parents Roger and Lorraine Otsig.

A Celebration Of Life Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers those friends wishing to make memorial contributions in memory of Melissa may do so to a trust fund for her children.
