She is survived by her loving husband, David, of Vernon; one daughter, Sandra (Mike) Bacon of Enderby; one son, Andrew Findlay of Calgary, AB; granddaughter, Alexandra Bacon of Halifax, NS; grandson, Niles Bacon of Enderby; and one brother, Alex Thom of England.
Roz was born on August 13th, 1929 in Banff, Scotland. She graduated in 1951 as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse from Ladiesbridge Hospital in Banff, Scotland. Roz immigrated to Canada in 1955 and worked as a psychiatric nurse in Moose Jaw, SK. She met the love of her life, David Findlay, in 1955. They were married in 1956 and raised their family in Moose Jaw, SK. Roz spent two years in Kano, Nigeria, W. Africa with her family. In 1978 they moved to Calgary and then in 1988 they settled in the Okanagan.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, those friends wishing to make memorial contributions in memory of Roz may do so to the B. C. Cancer Society,#104, 3402-27 Avenue, Vernon, B.C. V1T 1S1.
