On June 7 William Lawrence Church passed away at the Vernon Hospice House after a decade-long battle with spinocerebellar ataxia and more recently kidney cancer. At 50-years-old Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife and children as well as his mother, father, step-father, sister, step-sister, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
His family would like to thank all who cared for him during his ailment, especially the North Okanagan Hospice Society staff and volunteers who took special care during his last few weeks with genuine kindness.
The funeral celebration for Bill will be held at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, 10102 Middleton Drive, Coldstream, on Thursday, June 13 at 11 a.m. Prayers will be recited Wednesday, June 12, at Our Lady of Valley at 5 p.m.
