Debra Lynn Bergman

Debra Lynn “Bergy” Bergman, age 60 of Versailles, Ohio passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 11:12 AM. Born in Greenville, Ohio on March 23, 1961 she was one of 3 children to Wanda (Mong) Barton and the late Edward Bergman. Bergy was a graduate of Versailles High School, class of 1979. She had volunteered for the Versailles Life Squad as an EMT for over 20 years, was a former truck driver for Stanley, and most currently a custodian at the Versailles High School for 30 years, in which she retired from. Bergy was like a mother to her niece and nephews. She loved being outdoors and in nature, whether it was canoeing or gardening. She also liked to collect antiques. She will be truly missed.

She is survived by her mother and step-father Wanda & Cletus Barton: siblings Tammy Bergman; Michael & Christina Bergman: nieces & nephews Alex & Michele Dross; Andrew & Kristina Platfoot; Derek & Staci Bergman; Arielle & Jay Heitkamp: as well as great- nieces and nephews, and friends.

Friends may call on the family on Monday, October 4, 2021 from 5:00- 8:00 PM at the Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, OH. Funeral service to be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 10 AM. There will be an hour visitation prior to service. Burial to follow at St. Louis Cemetery, North Star, Ohio. Per the family’s request, please adhere to Covid-19 precautions, and masks are preferred.
