

Jack R. Keiber, age 75 of Russia, Ohio passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney, Ohio. Born in Sidney, on October 15, 1945 he was a son to the late Ruth Keiber. He was married to Shirley Keiber for 39 years, and after she passed he married Theresa (Timmerman) Keiber, on October 15, 2012. Jack retired from Stolle in Sidney after working there for 39 ½ years, and was currently working at NAPA in Versailles, Ohio for the past 8 years. In his younger years he enjoyed woodworking, but his happiness truly came from fishing. Jack would take trips to Michigan with his fishing buddy, Ivan Goubeaux, as well as many other fishing buddies. He was so proud of his son-in-law and his father who built him his mother’s dream pond. It was the place he found the most joy. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren, taking bike rides on the bike path and trips on the fishing boat and hanging out at the pond. He had a special bond with his great-granddaughter Emma, who called him her “fishing papaw”. He will be deeply missed. In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by his brother John Keiber; infant daughter Lisa.
Survived by his wife, Theresa Keiber: children Tammy & Joe Cron; Billy & Theresa Kirk of Riverside, CA: step-son Alan Kiser: grandchildren Nicole, Jimmy, Christopher & Courtney Cron, Kira & fiancé Jeff Tipton: great-granddaughter Emma; and one great-grandson on the way: brothers and sisters-in laws Jim & Dixie Marker; Jim & Janie Timmerman; Barb Phlipot; Tom & Jeanette Timmerman; Joe & Deb Timmerman; Steve & Sandy Timmerman; Ray & Karen Timmerman; Paul & Patty Timmerman; Mike & Ann Timmerman; Pat & Diane Timmerman; Norb Timmerman; Maurice Timmerman & Ann Meyer: Jim Hawkey, whom he shared 73 years of friendship with: as well as numerous cousins; nieces; nephews and extended family members.
Friends may call on the family on Friday, October 1, 2021 from 4:00 PM- 8:00 PM at the Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio. Funeral service to be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 10:30 AM with Deacon Paul Timmerman presiding. There will be an hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will be private per the family’s wishes. Please adhere to Covid-19 precautions, masks are preferred.
