

Lester D. Kueterman, 84, of Versailles, Ohio, passed away on Monday February 2, 2026, at 3:20 PM at Wayne Healthcare, Greenville, Ohio. Lester was born June 29, 1941, in Darke County, Ohio, the son of the late Fred and Alma (Brown) Kueterman.
Lester served his country in the United States Navy. He worked as a plumber at GM; he was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church; Knights of Columbus, the Jaycees, Board of Fleur De Lis Board of Zoning and Appeals; he enjoyed golfing, fishing, and riding his bike; and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Lester is preceded in death by his wife, B. Colette “Collie” Kueterman; an infant daughter, Carmen Kueterman; son-in-law, Britt Gabbard; grandsons, Zachary, and Adam Maxwell; brothers, Harold, Kenny, Ralph, and Glen Kueterman; sisters, Mildred Studebaker, Thelma Shumaker, and Ruth Snyder.
Lester is survived by his children, Linda Gabbard of Vandalia, James & Tami Kueterman of Tipp City and Anthony & Donna Kueterman of Versailles; grandchildren, Lee Maxwell, A.J. Kueterman, Madison Kueterman, Nathan Kueterman, Grace Kueterman, Anna Kueterman, Ray Kueterman, Elizabeth Kueterman, Kyle Kueterman, Kelly Berger, Kristen Eilerman and Kari Sherman; great grandchildren, Louden and Luke Maxwell, Drew Maxwell, Grant and Claire Kueterman, Samuel, Haley, and Emily Berger, and Mason, Griffin, Leo, and Alex Eilerman, Annie Sherman, and Rory Kueterman; sister, Wanda Lenehan; his best buddy, Dick Francis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday February 9, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St. Denis Catholic Church, 14 East Wood Street, Versailles, Ohio with Rev. Fr. Matt Feist Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Valbert Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Sunday February 8, 2026, and from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM on Monday at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio. Veterans’ services will be conducted by the Versailles Veterans Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Park, or St. Denis Building Fund.
