It is with great sadness, the family of Christine Leithead announce her sudden passing on Friday, February 17, 2017 at the age of 67. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Jason (Ginny) grandchildren, Olivia and Cameron, son, Calvin (Renee), granddaughters, Fiona and Amy, daughter, Pamela (Blayne) Eliuk, grandsons, Bennett and Harrison; brother Hamish (Sandy) Boswell; brother in-law Bill (Marion) Leithead, sisters in-law Marilyn (Dwight) Scheureman, Peggy Barrett; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends, including her companion Tony Guerard. She was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Garry Leithead, mother and father, Mary and James (Jim) Boswell and brother in-law, Ronald Barrett. A celebration of life will be held at The Gardens at HCP, 505 Quayle Rd, Victoria, BC, Thursday, March 30, 2017, welcoming at 10:30 a.m., ceremony at 11:00 a.m. A secondary celebration will be held at the Wainwright Hotel, Heritage Park, 1900 Heritage Dr. S.W. Calgary, AB, on Saturday April 15, 2017, welcoming at 10:30 a.m., ceremony at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in Christine’s memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Suite 220 6223 2nd Street, S.E. Calgary, AB T2H 1J5.
