With great sadness we are announcing the passing of Donna. She is survived by spouse Ken, parents Don and Pat Zanelli, brother Ray, son Brent (Debra), granddaughter May, daughter Nikki, and grandson Lowen.
Born and raised in Victoria BC. She was a smart woman with many talents and hobbies. From the beautiful clothes she could sew or the sweaters she would knit. Her creativity in her crafts, scrap books and designing her dream family home on Shawnigan Lake. She passed on her amazing cooking skills to her children.
She started her working career at Reg Midgley motors which gave her the foundation and direction for a career in bookkeeping. Forever wanting to learn more she advanced these skills with Edgar and Miner Flooring, Thrifty Foods, Peppers Foods as each job brought new knowledge. But her desire to learn and try new things lead her to going back to school at Camosun College for Legal Administrative Assistant. This new knowledge then took her career to the federal government. She spent the next 15 years at CFB Esquimalt as a compensation officer helping employees navigate the complexity of federal government pay. The time came to retire as phoenix pay was being introduced.
Her love for her family & friends was unconditional and always in abundance.
She is greatly missed.
There will be no funeral service.
