Eileen Rosalind Hearst

Eileen grew up in Belfast with her siblings Valerie, Cecilia, Ian and Heather.

Eileen is predeceased by her husband of over 65 years, Mervyn. Eileen and Mervyn immigrated to Canada and settled in Victoria to raise their three children, Randy, Michael and Celia. They also had two grandchildren, Richelle and Kurtis. Throughout their years together they made many friendships and had plenty of adventures. They enjoyed travelling and had the opportunity to visit many amazing places around the world.

Eileen was an avid gardener and created beautiful gardens at their home in James Heights. She continued this activity when they moved down to the Songhees and her amazing baskets and potted plants covered the deck. Eileen loved birds and spent many hours enjoying them frolicking in her birdbath and eating from her birdfeeder. Eileen also spent many years fine tuning her art skills. There were many fabulous paintings throughout the house and she continued this hobby while residing in her long term care home.

She was loved and will be missed by all of her family and friends here in Canada and in Northern Ireland.
