Marion was born on August 2, 1928 in Llanelli, South Wales and died in Victoria, BC on August 18, 2017. She was predeceased by her parents William and Ethel Morris, her husband Leslie, and her brother Eric Morris, and is survived by nephews Meredydd and Hywel Morris. Marion met Leslie in London in 1948 where they were both in training as teachers. They were married in Llanelli in 1949 and moved to Somerset where they both taught until 1954 when they immigrated to Canada. They lived in Ranger, Meota, and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where they taught until they retired to Victoria in 1988.
In Victoria, Marion was active in the Commonwealth Society, the Welsh Society, and the Retired Saskatchewan Teachers Society and was an active member of the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Evangelist.
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 30 at 2pm at the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Evangelist, 990 Falmouth Road, Victoria, BC; Archbishop Shane Janzen, Celebrant. A reception will follow in the Cathedral Church Hall.
