Emmett Wallace Weeks

On September 11, 2024, surrounded by his family, Emmett Wallace Weeks, of Victoria, BC, passed away peacefully in his family home. Emmett was born on July 5th, 1985 to his parents Gary and Wendy Weeks.

Thanks to Emmett we learned that communication is more than speaking words. Despite all the physical challenges that Emmett faced from birth he grew into a brave, spunky, and handsome young man. He was an inspiration to everyone who had the pleasure of getting to know him. Emmett was persistent, patient and had an easy-going nature. Through his life he showed us the simplicity of how to have a fulfilling life. Emmett had a contagious laugh and loved music. As a family we are saddened that Emmett has left us. We know that we are all better people for having known him and feel privileged to have travelled with Emmett on his life’s journey. We rejoice in knowing that he is now in a place without pain.

Emmett is survived by his parents, Gary and Wendy Weeks, his sisters and their family: Richelle (Chris), Annabella and George Anderberg; Glenys (Tom) Alex, Elliot. and Olivia Foster; his Grandmother: Margaret (Peggy) St. John, as well as, many cousins, aunts and uncles.

On behalf of Emmett and our family we would like to thank all those who supported and enhanced Emmett’s quality of life. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday July 5, 2025 at 1:30PM at the Victoria Church of the Nazarene 4277 Quadra Street, Victoria, BC.
