Fletcher began his motorcycle riding and stunt walking on the back of our couch at the age of 3 ½. Although his mundane name, “maker of arrows” was perfect for his membership in the Society for Creative Anachronism, he couldn’t use it and Owen Hallihyne shone there as “a bright creative light” for over 10 years.
Fletcher loved people and festivals – Burning Man, Outerworld, Evolution and carried his flame to Australia and Germany. As a graduate of Camosun’s Fine Furniture program, his creations with wood were unique and his artistic talent carried into displays with the Royal BC Museum.
Surviving family: Christopher and Gloria, Trevor, Riley (Alicia), Caitlin (Josh), Grandma Cecelia and Uncle Dave, Terry and Daniel, Karin, Greg (Laura and Connie, Finley), Marj (Robert) and Darcie, Tony, Peter (Gina) and Samantha (Brian), Patrick, Sheila (Doug) and Frank. A huge, heartfelt thanks to his many friends posting on Social Media.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 27th 2023 at 3:00 pm at The Victoria Truth Centre, 2815 Cedar Hill Road, Victoria BC. Flowers are gratefully declined. Fletcher would want to support Peers Victoria Resources Society or the charity of your choice.
