Frederick William Potts (80) of Victoria, B.C. passed away peacefully on December 27, 2022, with his family by his side. Fred is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elsa Potts, his daughter, Susan Grunin (Scott) and grandsons, Kaleb and Hayden Grunin. Fred was predeceased by his son, Michael Potts, and parents, Fredrick and Lorraine Potts.
One of Fred’s biggest accomplishments was being a husband, father and grandfather. When his kids were young, he could always be found on the Cordova Bay soccer fields. Most recently he enjoyed semi-retirement, traveling, visiting with his family and his weekly telephone conversations with his grandsons. Fred was a talented and sought after carpenter and was always there to help his family and friends.
While Fred has left us with a great absence in our lives, he has also left us with warm memories and much love. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A celebration of life for Fred will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the BC Cancer Agency.
