He served in the Royal Air Force during WWII from 1940 to 1946. On his discharge he immigrated to Canada, settling in Red Deer, AB. George was pre-deceased by his son Jim (17), his son in law, Gerry and all his family – mother, father, 5 sisters and 2 brothers. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy (74 years), 5 children, 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
He was a very successful businessman with high moral values and great pride and love for his family. Gardening was his passion and it showed in the beautiful gardens in their homes, one of which was on the Victoria Garden Tour several times. George was also a talented artist who did many beautiful large paintings. Our family will remember him with great admiration and love and hold him in our hearts forever.
