After a quiet morning with family reminiscing about cats, watching happy baby videos of her great nephew and enjoying her favourite coffee yoghurt with raspberries, Gill passed away peacefully yesterday afternoon.
Dr. Stefanie Green skillfully shepherded all of us through the gentle process. Gill had a good death, as she wished: at home with her family beside her. Hummingbirds were at the feeder just outside.
We are grateful to all the friends and family who have visited and written, sent flowers and treats, and shared their appreciation for Gill's bright smile and good humour. She was much loved. Special thanks to Shirley, Sheila, Aldy, Sheila and Dan for their faithful friendships. After a long good life, marred only by the painful limitations of Parkinson's Disease, Gill is at peace.
Gill's body will be cremated by First Memorial Funeral Services of Victoria. She has requested no memorial service.
Holding Gill/Mum in our hearts,
Rod, Alastair and Fiona
