Mom was predeceased by her husband Wilfred in 1996. She leaves her four daughters, Barbara (Helmut), Pamela (Wayne), Sharron, (Robert) and Wendy. She also leaves her four grandchildren; Richard, Phillip, Leah and Steven and her four great-grandchildren, Kali, Jillian, James and Tyler. Mom was born and raised on the Saanich Peninsula, only leaving in 1981 to start a Sheet Metal business with Wilf on Saltspring Island. In 1996 they moved to Duncan to retire. After Wilf’s death, she returned to Sidney to be closer to family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Arthritis society in memory of Irene.
