Jim is survived by his wife of 46 years, Madelyn and his faithful companion Bonnie 2, brother John, sister Janice and brother-in-law Kevin, Nephews Jon Paul, Ryan, Michael and Justin and niece Kelsey. Jim was predeceased by his parents John and Jewell Dicks of East York, ON; brother Joseph, sister-in-law Ann Marie, niece Lesley Ann and father-in-law William H Kelly.
Jim worked for the City of Toronto, Parks Department where he was able to enjoy his love of gardening and nature.
In 1988, Jim and Madelyn moved to Victoria, BC where they were able to retire and have time to enjoy hiking, fishing, biking and gardening.
Jim grew up in East York, Toronto and learned his love of travel at an early age as summers were spent travelling to his grandparents farm in Chinook, AB. Jim and Madelyn had many memorable trips, including two trips to Scotland.
Jimmy will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
