
Jogindar was a progressive thinker and the first in his family to venture overseas. His career spanned many years in the oil and gas sector in various countries. After retirement he worked as a court interpreter in Vancouver and then returned to his farming roots in India. There he enjoyed his golf and valued his time with family and friends. His last years were spent in Victoria, BC, Canada close to family.
He was predeceased by his mother & father, Amar Kaur & Dharm Singh; daughters: Rimple & Dimple; sister: Roop Shergill; brother Ravindar Khaira; as well as his brothers-in-law: Gulzar Singh Ghuman, Surjit Singh Sandhawalia & Devinder Singh Shergill.
Jogindar is survived by his wife “Rani” Jaswant; his son “Puttar” Honey (Pepi) & daughter-in-law Elci; his daughter Dimpy (Puneet) & son-in-law “Sona Puttar” Tannu; ex daughter-in-law Dianne; and his 3 grandchildren Elisse, “Bhondoo” Pavit & “Shararti” Simar.
He also leaves behind his siblings, much loved nieces, nephews, family members & friends.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all the staff at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital Extended Care Unit & Handydart for their exceptional care & service.
