

Gord was the son of Mary and Jack Stobart and was raised on Meadow Place in Oak Bay attending Willows Elementary and Oak Bay High School. Gord always had an eye for a nice car and had many beauties throughout the years. His first full time job was with Bapco Paint in Victoria, where he met his future wife, Pauline.
Gord and Pauline were married in 1965 and built a home on Colquitz Avenue for their family. Gord retired from Centra Gas where he made many good friends. In his retirement Gord and Pauline enjoyed building new homes and gardens. Gord's pastimes included lawn bowling, Mah Jong but his favourite was wood-working, specializing in carving waterfowl. Gord is predeceased by his adored wife Pauline and his grandson Andrew. Survived by his daughter Tracey and sister Kathleen Stevens (husband David), along with extended family, many nieces and nephews and friends. Service to be held at First Memorial Funeral Services, 1155 Fort Street, Victoria, BC at 10 am on May 24, 2017. In lieu of flowers donations maybe made to the Andrew Horn Memorial Bursary for nursing students at Camosun College.
