Regrettably I just came across this obituary. I bumped into Judy several times a few years ago at London Drug. She was exactly as the young girl I grew up knowing. 
Happy  in her life and the laughing  joker I remember. 

I enjoyed getting to know Judy on our coffee breaks at the London Drugs Colwood store.  She had a great sense of humour.  I am very saddened to hear of her passing.  Sending condolences to her partner and her family.

How do we say good bye to such an amazing sister/friend and mentor? 
Looking back, we had so many years of sharing so many things. Stories, experiences, laughter, sorrow, disappointments, successes and many parties and dances we attended. You were so instrumental in so many ways. Our wedding was one of the most beautiful memories for us both.
You were always so supportive and caring with a kind words of encouragement or a shoulder to cry on when needed. 

Our lives came together for a reason and we feel very blessed that you were a part of ours. You have made such a difference not only in ours but for many others too.

No one can tell us now you are gone and that this is the end. We are sure we will all meet again ‘up above’ in the here after. What a reunion that will be!!! 

So we will say farewell for now and to be continued at a later date.

We were privileged to meet Judy because she  became such an important part of our dear friend Alma's life.  We will be forever grateful to Judy for bringing a smile back to Alma's lips and a sparkle to her eyes.  Alma, we are so, so sorry for your loss and we wish we could find the words that Judy would use to console you.

I met Judi as a dear friend of Cheryl and Sue and just loved her energy for life. She was an easy person to like. During her career at London drugs I then saw her at the courthouse as a witness to shoplifting cases....we had some good laughs.  I know that for the many people whose life she touched, that she will be missed. But rest in peace Judi, at the end of life we will all be reunited.


So sorry to hear of Judy's passing I had the privilege of interviewing Judy and bringing her to the London Drugs family .   I was a young Supervisor when she joined and I often sort her input when I struggled with tough decisions. She was a welcome addition to our team and I will be forever grateful to Judy for helping me in my young career. 
I kept in touch with Judy for many years after leaving Loss Prevention and often met her for dinner and wine in Victoria, going to miss her a lot.   

I as many here had the privilege of working in collaboration with Judy at LD. There are so many memories ... I was in Victoria to conduct a class on 9-11. We were meeting in a local restaurant before going to the store; I had no idea as to what was happening as I glanced at a TV & saw a plane hit a tower... Judy joined me then & right away was switched into getting information to staff who had friends & relatives in New York... she was amazing.
On another business trip to Victoria I stumbled on some steps crushed my ankle & ended up in hospital for a week, Judy came to the hospital every day ensured I was able to keep contact with my sons & drove me to my sister’s home on the Easter long weekend. She understood how devastating this incident was to a single mother without a word being spoken. 
It is so difficult to conceive that such a life force is gone so quickly; but for her family & friends she remains in all the good deeds she did, the encouragement she gave & her lovely smile as she toasted another day & adventure with a glass of wine.

I had the pleasure of working with Judy for over 20 years at London Drugs.   Judy was a kind, compassionate individual who had much love for her family.

Judy will be missed but the great memories of her will live on in her family and friends.

There isn't enough that we can say about the passing of a dear friend, who filled any room, with her contagious zest for life! Alma, to you, and your family, my heartfelt sympathy 😪.  Judy will always be in the hearts of many, who not only worked with her, but had the pleasure of knowing her, outside of "the job". She truly will be missed❤😇❤sending you much love! xox

Without you as my mentor I am not sure my new career with London Drugs would have been a success. I feel grateful our friendship ran deeper than work. I knew you were something special as we sat in a small restaurant during an earthquake. You quietly sipped your coffee as I ran around in circles not knowing where to go next. You calmly called me next to you and assured me everything was going to be just fine. I’m convinced, wherever you are now, those around you will feel that same calm. Your laugh and smile are forever etched in my memory. I miss you!

Words simply can’t express my sadness hearing this news. I can honestly say I remember my first day at London Drugs in Nanaimo like it was yesterday ...due in large part to Judy’s passionate “talk” about LD & her role as an Ambassador of Loss Prevention. 

You could tell instantly that she cared deeply not only about the company, but about her role & team mates. She made me literally sit up in my seat & take immediate & lasting interest in the company . Almost 30 years later her impact on me personally remains. Judy’s HIGH integrity, calm  & rational, yet influential leadership Style was impactful & contagious. We never wanted to disappoint her & she was always there for us. Judy’s influence & support of me personally when I was applying to the Police Department was instrumental in my success. Her guidance & honesty grounded me & made me respect even more the responsibility I would have serving my community as a Police Officer. Judy was kind, sweet, caring, nurturing, she was always fair, honest, & even tough when needed & She always was consistent with her expectations. 

I felt Judy “looked out” for me throughout my career. She was proud of me & always saw there was more to give. I will forever remember our coffee chats, her caring way to make those around her better & she always made time for you, even when you knew she beyond busy.

I was so, so happy to have seen Judy on my last visit to Victoria. Judy came into the Colwood store to see me when she learned I was in town visiting stores. This surprise meant the world to me. She told me how “proud” she was of me & that was one of my Best Personal career moments ever. This meant more to me than she would ever known. 

Judy you deserved SO MUCH more In life & I was so happy to hear you found true happiness, love & partnership.  You will forever be in my thoughts, heart & mind. BIG RESPECT Judy!!!

 find the right words to express how deeply sorry i am.
I worked with Judy when she was LP leader for london drugs, an amazing woman, would listen intently and would really care about people, always went out of her way to help anyone, anytime.
Judy had such high integrity, loved her family and friends so much. I am so happy she found Alma to share her life with, very brief but beautiful to see them so happy together and having fun travelling together, it was the happiest i had ever seen Judy . My heart goes out to you all
