Katherine, Kay as everyone knew her did a lot in her younger years, climbing Grouse Mt, roller skating, dancing, bowling. Her working career started at age 14 in a dry cleaner doing alterations, then onto a bakery and after Graduation worked for MSA on the early IBM computers. Kay also loved watching hockey and connecting with her monthly potluck group… She spent many hours supporting and promoting her faith, and was designated “Extraordinary Minister” in 1977 at St. Elizabeth’s to take shut-ins communion. Thank you to her church family, Jennifer/Rodney, Cathy/Barry, Doreen, Josephine, Barbara, Charlotte/Ed, Fr Rolf and many others for their support through the years.
We are very grateful for the amazing family she joined at Abby Field were she lived for the past 3 years. Kay spent many hours talking about Abbeyfield, and loved her evening walks with Jen and Flash. Enjoyed her community of friends there and was very happy to have such a special place to live out the rest of her life. Kay will be greatly missed.
Rest in Peace MOM
