He was born in Humphrey's Mills New Brunswick into a family of six boys. He joined the Armed Forces in 1950 and was an accomplished gymnast and diver. He competed in many championships and won many medals. He was married to Edith Marie Dunn in August 1953 and they had four children.
Ken retired in August 1980 and sadly Edie passed in 1985. Ken was as successful in love as he was in the forces and met and married Yvonne W. Cheesman who also had four children. They blended their two families (Mac and Chees) beautifully (two started their own Mac and Chees) and years later they were brave enough to host "Cousin camp" for several of their Grandchildren many years in a row. Camp ended when they became teenagers (they were brave not crazy) and then they enjoyed all their Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren in there own homes. Ken and Yvonne loved to travel the world with their in-laws Greg and Marion Cheesman. Ken enjoyed golfing, curling, swimming and was a talented artist, wood worker, handyman and author of several Newsletters. He always had a sunny disposition and brought it out in others. He will be missed by every person that had the absolute pleasure of meeting him.
