Leta M. Sanders

October 17, 1929 – September 17, 2016

Leta, wife, sweetie, buddy, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and friend passed away suddenly from a heart attack. Survived by her loving husband, Reg, son David (Linda), daughter Jennifer (Jim) Roach, Grandchildren Christine (Scott), Rod, Shannon (rob), Justin (Shannon), Great Grand-children Julian, Chase, Elias, Jaden and Avery. Predeceased by her parents, sister Norma and brother David (Marina). Survived by her sister Ruth (Ken) Dougan and brother Chuck (Mac) Mcnab, several nieces and nephews especially Cathy, Virginia, Nancy and Susan.

Mom lived a full life starting out as an accountant and filling her life with family and friends. She was an artistic lady who created wonderful paintings, paper tole, quilts and tremendous amount of crochet hats for preemie babies at VGH and for other organizations. She will be missed by the many friends she made along the way. Friends from her quilting group, bridge group, and the friends she made in the areas she lived. Special friends, Liz and Bob, Brian and Sylvia, Doug and Sharon, Kay and George, Jan and the Wednesday lunch bunch will miss her laughter and friendship. Mom loved going out for dinner, playing cards, quilting, darts and poll in the older years, but being with family was the most important thing for her. Missing her is easy; not having her in our lives is hard. She will be missed especially by her husband and partner Reg. Rest easy and know that we love you.

A Celebration of Leta’s life will be held at First Memorial Funeral Services, Royal Oak on Monday, October 17th, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.
