Lynn was a loving wife, devoted mother to Chris, committed family member and friend to many. She was born Nanaimo on 6th January, 1948 and spent her formative years in Saskatchewan, British Columbia, and Alberta. We met in Edmonton in 1971, where Lynn worked for AGT. After marrying in 1973, and with our roots back in British Columbia, we relocated to Vancouver Island, eventually settling in the village of Brentwood Bay.
Lynn had the ability to make life fun and beautiful, and used her creative talents not only in her personal and family life but also in her chosen occupation. For many years she worked in the Activity Department at Rest Haven Lodge where one of her great joys was working with the seniors there and bringing out their creativity.
Lynn was highly social and appreciated her large circle of sorority and crafting friends, as well as her colleagues and neighbours.
Chris and I would like to thank the very caring staff at Saanich Peninsula Hospital Extended Care Unit 1 where Lynn spent the last eighteen months of her life. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to Saanich Peninsula Hospital and Healthcare Foundation, at sphf.ca or to a charity of your choice.
There will be a Memorial Tea for Lynn at 1:00pm on Saturday January 6th, 2024 at the Central Saanich Seniors' Centre, 1229 Clarke Road, Brentwood Bay. This would have been Lynn's 76th birthday so family and friends are welcome to gather and share a time of celebrating a life well lived.
