Joan was born on a wintery day in January to Theresa and Calvin Bonham in Toronto, Ontario. She was one of eight children, so it was a busy household. She was a very sensitive and creative child and always asked many questions about life. This is what eventually led her to studying the bible and becoming one of Jehovah’s Witnesses at age 18.
Joan has spent many years volunteering her time to help other people to understand the wonderful hope of living on a paradise earth forever.
She moved all across Canada during her life and finally settled in Victoria and lived with her daughter Brenda and son-in law David for the last 42 years.
She has made many wonderful friends who made her life happy and meaningful. Joan will be remembered for her kind and giving spirit, and her friendly personality.
She will be missed by her daughter Brenda and husband David.
Those who shared her faith look forward to seeing her return in a resurrection to a cleansed earth with her vibrant spirit and Red hair.
The family would like to express their appreciation to all the caregivers who have helped Joan over the past few years.
It was Joan’s wish that there would be no memorial service.
In lieu of flowers donations could be made to your favourite charity.
